Gerhard Braun, the publisher of Wiener Flute Edition, has made it his mission to familiarize the player not only with little known or forgotten music of classical and romantic, but also with the contemporary literature of this instrument: Down is a single downward movement, a descent from the highest down to the lowest register of the instrument, as it were a wandering through the registers.
