Description
Inspired by Arthur Golden's novel "Memoirs of a Geisha", the work blends Far Eastern pentatonic techniques with Western modalism. Unless otherwise indicated, the music should flow hypnotically but, at the same time, the underlying pulse should have a very strong sense of "groove". You should almost be able to hear the bass and drums in the piano accompaniment.
Occasionally the composer has written a low B in the flute part. If you don't have
this note on your instrument please play the B above.
