Description
Meditation for horn and piano is a short piece in reflective mood. It opens with a soothing rocking motif in the accompaniment over which the horn trickles its melody. The middle section is more intense, with rich chords from the piano, encouraging a more sonorous response from the horn, whose melody replaces running quavers with dotted rhythms. The dynamic subsides and the opening mood is restored at bar 25 before a cadenza-like ending.
The first edition of this work was published in 2003 by Phylloscopus Publications.
