This is a book for students who already know their scales and now want to develop their technique to a higher level. The first section consists of fingering warm-ups in all major and minor keys, using a variety of patterns. In the second section difficult passages from standard repertoire are transposed into all twelve keys. The third section deals with intervals and their related tonalities. Exercises are based on orchestral and solo repertoire written after 1900.  The final section covers other essential technical issues, harmonics, vibrato, tonguing, intonation, alternate fingerings, multiphonics and other extended techniques.
