These four well known tunes all have a story to tell, and give early grade players the chance to tell the stories through the music. Cheeky harmonies express the mischievous Rakes of Mallow and contrast well with the mournful strains of The Foggy Dew. Molly Malone features a minor key section, and a ghostly reprise, and in the final piece the players verbally encourage the Old Woman of the title to get up and shake herself! This set is bound to be a hit with young players, and is an ideal teaching tool for ensemble techniques, whilst giving everyone something interesting to do!
